One of the dozen of horror films making its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this September is Bruce McDonald's Pontypool, which was recently acquired for release by Maple Pictures. Up until today (this very moment to be exact), nothing has really been known about the film other than the film followed a small-town radio station that discovers that recent madness in the local population may be caused by a virus transmitted through speech.
