Eclipse Has It's First New Cast Member; New Moon Pic

Well, the first news of casting for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has finally hit. Australian actor Xavier Samuel, who is unknown in the U.S., will be playing "the role of a 'newborn vampire' named Riley, a good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart). Riley is corrupted by Victoria, for whom he has an inexplicable weakness" according to Risky Business Blog.

Eclipse is going to start filming next month in Vancouver with director David Slade behind the camera. This makes me extremely happy, as he was the director of one of my favorite vampire flicks, 30 Days of Night. He also directed Hard Candy. I'm interested in seeing what he does with a Twilight movie.

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella (Kristen Stewart) once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her friendship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) —knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is set to hit theaters on June 30, 2010.

Now, on to some Twilight news that is about the next chapter of the series - New Moon. A new picture from The Twilight Saga: New Moon has gone up thanks to The Hollywood Gossip. It features Bella and Jacob getting cozy in a truck. I love Twilight and I have nothing against the "romantic" vampire story, but I'm ready for some action shots! Where are pictures of werewolves, pissed-off vampires fighting each other, etc? Come on!

In The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon is coming out on November 20th.
