Nicholas Cage stated in an interview with
MTV that he wants to "reconceive" the sequel to
Ghost Rider. The actor stated that he would like to see
Ghost Rider 2 be a more "international story" and less "Western", which could be taken as meaning Americanized or possibly set in the U.S. Cage stated,
"I would like to go in a whole other direction, and I think that's what they're talking about."
In the interview clip, Cage smiled and eluded to being interested in something like bringing Ghost Rider to Europe and teaming up with the Catholic Church.
